Batch Weights

Calculate plant batch weights from mix design per m³ or yd³ — Account for aggregate moisture, absorption, and admixture volumes per ASTM C94 / NRMCA

⚖️
Batch Weights Calculator
Convert SSD mix design to batch weights (oven-dry or SSD). Adjust for aggregate moisture, admixtures, and yield. Generate plant-ready batch tickets.
⚖️
Enter Mix Design
Input SSD mix proportions above, then click Calculate Batch.

💧 Aggregate Moisture Correction

💧
Enter Aggregate Moisture
Input absorption and total moisture from plant tests. Click Calculate for batch adjustments.
📐 Moisture Correction Formulas
Oven-Dry Weight = SSD Weight / (1 + Absorption%) Free Water = Oven-Dry Weight × (Total Moisture% - Absorption%) Wet Batch Weight = Oven-Dry Weight + Free Water = SSD Weight × (1 + Total Moisture%) / (1 + Absorption%) Batch Water = Design Free Water - Total Free Water from Aggregates

📚 Batching Standards Reference

ASTM C94 / C94M
Ready-Mixed Concrete. Batching tolerances: Cement ±1%, Aggregates ±2%, Water ±1%, Admixtures ±3%. Slump, air, temperature at discharge. Delivery time limits (90 min / 300 rev).
NRMCA QC Manual
National Ready Mixed Concrete Association Quality Control Manual. Plant certification, mixer calibration, moisture probes, batch recording, delivery tickets.
ASTM C138
Density (Unit Weight), Yield, and Air Content (Gravimetric). Verify yield matches design. Calculate actual w/c from batch weights.
ASTM C566
Total Moisture Content of Aggregate by Drying. Required for moisture correction. Sample at batching, dry to constant mass.
ASTM C70 / C127 / C128
Aggregate Specific Gravity & Absorption (Coarse C127, Fine C128). Surface moisture (C70). Required for SSD to oven-dry conversion.
EN 206 / BS 8500
European standard. Conformity criteria, assessment of compressive strength, identity testing, factory production control.
ECP 203 / ECP 204
Egyptian concrete production & QC. Local batching tolerances, cement certification, aggregate source approval, admixture approved list.
